SMERDON, Arlene Francis

Lake Powell Chronicle, Page, Arizona Wednesday, Feb 16th, 2011 Arlene Francis Smerdon, of Page, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Feb. 10, 2011, at her home. She was born Aug. 10, 1943, in Los Angeles, Calif. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Fred Thomas, who died as a result of a motorcycle accident in 1983. She was remarried in 1988 to Gary Smerdon in Grants Pass, Ore., where they lived for many wonderful years. They then moved to Page, where Arlene loved her neighbors and friends, outdoor barbecues, and the scenery overlooking Lake Powell in their back yard. Arlene is survived by her husband, Gary Smerdon; her children, Ben, Rick, and Tina; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her three sisters, Jackie, Carol, and Marcie. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Page on Sat., Feb. 19, at 4 p.m., with fellowship to follow. A memorial service in Grants Pass, Ore., is pending.
