COOLEY, Clarence (Gene)

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona September 03, 2010 Clarence "Gene" Cooley, 74, of Avondale died Aug. 29, 2010, in Avondale. Mr. Cooley was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Neoga, Ill, to William and Oleta. He moved to Arizona when he was 9. He joined the Navy in 1955 and retired from the military service in 1974. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Connie; one daughter, Lisa DeHaan; two sons, Kevin and Clarence "Buddy"; one brother, John; and eight grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear. Burial will follow will full military honors at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W.
