GUILES, Arthur R.

Arthur R. Guiles, 92, a former resident of Yuma, died Jan. 13, 2012, in Escondido, Calif.

Born May 5, 1919, in North Platte, Neb., he was a switchman for Southern Pacific Railroad and veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Escondido. A private burial will be at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego.

Alhiser-Comer Mortuary in Escondido is handling arrangements.
