Lois Maxine Wiggers-Jewell died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at the home of her daughter in Middleburg, Florida. She was 79.
The daughter of Herman and Virginia Derrick Pratt, she was born December 6, 1927, in Caldwell, Kansas.
Lois was a Service Clerk at Montgomery Ward for many years and then an Office Clerk at Dolly Madison Bakery before retiring 34 years ago.
She married Donovan C. Wiggers on September 21, 1947. He died September 5, 1989, in Sun City, Arizona. Then she married Bernard Jewell on December 13, 1992. He died April 4, 2006 in Sun City, Arizona.
Lois was a resident of Sun City for eighteen years and was a member of Willowbrook United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Sharon Huggard of Tucson, Arizona; Nancy Boling of Emporia, Kansas; Judy Edie of Middleburg, Florida; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. A brother, Bruce Pratt, died earlier.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 16, 2007 in Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, for Camp Home, 1315 SW Arrowhead, Topeka, Kansas 66604, or your local Hospice.
