Richard Mulvaine, 73, of Litchfield Park died June 22, 2006.
Mr. Mulvaine was born Dec. 11, 1932, in Richwood, Ohio, to Frieda and Dwight Mulvaine. He served in the Ari Force during the Korean War, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. He had lived in Litchfield Park since 1964.
Mr. Mulvaine was a member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America, which he joined in 1955 and served as Southwest Section president for two years. He was awarded that section's Golf Pro of the Year award in 1972.
In 1964, he supervised construction of Estrella Mountain Golf Course in Goodyear, and was its golf director until 1994. He also worked as golf director of the Ahwatukee and Paradise Valley Park golf courses in the 1970s.
Mr. Mulvaine is survived by his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Valerie, Jeanne and Lynda; one son, Richard; one sister, Sherry; and five grandchildren.
