GRIESEL, Delmar D. (Tubby)

age: 94 yrs 11 mos 3 days ~~~~~ In the wee hours on Sunday, January 1, 2012, just one month shy of his 95th birthday Tubby left this earth to be with his wife Lesley and daughter Janny. He was born on January 28, 1917 in Belden, Nebraska and died at his home in Yuma, AZ. Before retiring to Yuma, AZ in 1988, Tubby was General Manager for Wilsey Foods for the Salem facility now known as Ventura Foods. Up until moving to AZ full time in 1994, he lived in Salem, OR He was known for his gruff exterior but kind heart. Tubby is survived by his daughter, Judy (Jay) Steuerwald of Pacific Palisades, CA; son-in-law, Gene Baisch of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Layne Richardson of San Diego, CA; Scott (Linda) Baisch, John (Sylvia) Baisch, Tim (Lisa) Baisch and Steven (Lynn) Baisch all of Seattle, WA; Michael (Kara) Steuerwald of Rancho Palos Verde, CA and Garrett (Tiffany) Steuerwald of Hermosa Beach, CA. In addition he is survived by 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lesley and daughter Janice Baisch. Special thanks to Maria Molinar for the special care she gave to Tubby and to the angels from Hospice of Yuma for their care and support.
