DUDZIAK, Leonard (Lenny) J.


Leonard (Lenny) J. Dudziak passed in Phoenix, AZ after a lengthy illness. He was born on October 22, 1923 in Lorain, Ohio and attended Lorain Schools and is a 1942 -B graduate of Lorain High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945-1947 and then was employed by United States Steel as a shipper. He was a member of the United States Steel Local 1104 where he was the Blood Bank Co-Chairman for many years, retiring in 1986. Lenny is survived by his daughter, Joanne (Tom) Waltz of Phoenix who he resided with since August, 2006, granddaughters Theresa of Tucson, and Katherine in the U.S. Navy, sisters Frances of Elyria, Cecilia and Emily of Lorain and friend Sophie Holowicki. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Eleanor (Rumph) in 1992, daughter Loretta and son Lawrence, his parents Karl and Katherine (Kulik), brother Richard and sisters Mary and Veronica. Memorial Mass was on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at St. James Catholic Church 19640 N 35th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85024. Published in The Arizona Republic on 6/13/2007.
