SCHWEIZER, John E.

John E. Schweizer, 86, retired Phoenix Operations Manager for Yellow Freight Systems, passed away June 11, 2007 in Scottsdale, AZ. He was born in Wallington, NJ and had been a Valley resident the past 49 years. He was a US Army World War II veteran having served in the European Theater. Survivors include his wife Ilva, daughters Frederica (Bob) Schnurstein, Michele Schweizer, sons Jeff (Debra), John, Jr. and Jason (Donya), 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Friday, June 15th at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. Interment with military honors at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
