HOLLOWAY, Rossie (Ross) Dee

age: 92 yrs 15 days Ross D. Holloway passed away on December 16, 2011, in Mesa, Arizona. Born on his grandfather's farm in Byers, Texas, to Rossie and Tressie (Ritchie) Holloway, Ross arrived on December 1, 1919. Ross married Evelyn Schmidt in 1952. He served as a Jump Master in the Airborne in WWII. Ross pioneered in the computer field as an analyst and programmer. He eventually ran his own Service Bureau. Ross has a great love of sailing and became a proficient shipright. Ross is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughter, Deidre Ann Ward and her husband; sons, Ross Holloway Jr. and Mark Holloway and their spouses; brothers, Dale and Jerry Alexander; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial mass honoring Ross will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1244 South Power Road, Mesa, Arizona 85206 on December 20, 2011 at 10:30am.
