THORNTON, Eulala P.

The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 8, 1997 Eulala Thornton of Maricopa, and formerly of Wickenburg, died Dec. 31 in Phoenix. She was 90. Mrs. Thornton was born in Mineral Wells, Texas. on April 18, 1906. She was a longtime resident of Arizona and Wickenburg, moving to the state when she was 10 years old and to Wickenburg in 1966. Mrs. Thornton was a devoted wife and mother. She was a very skilled seamstress and enjoyed cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband Otho Thornton in 1966. Survivors include daughters Monica Goetz and Joan Grandinetti, both of Phoenix; sons Jerry of Phoenix, Harry of Yuma, and Wayne of Aguila; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3 at the Wickenburg Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bill Root officiating. Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.
