HUGHES, Cecilia Louise

Parker Pioneer, Parker, AZ - Published on January 25, 2012 - Cecilia L. Hughes - June 7, 1927 - Jan. 8, 2012 - Cecilia Louise Hughes was born in Los Angeles, to Henry George and Ora Ruether. She worked for Prudential Insurance Co. of America for 47 years, most of that time as a office manager. She met and married Robert Hughes (Bob) while living in the town of Whittier in 1976. They moved to Yucaipa a short time later. The 14 years of married life was enjoyed with Bob and fellowship with the members at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Yucaipa, and doing volunteer work at Lutheran Braille, before Bob passed away in 1990. Cecilia was blessed with a stepdaughter Patricia Leonardo and her husband Larry; two grandsons, Larry and Leonard and her stepson Robert Edward Hughes (Eddy). Cecilia moved to Lake Havasu in 2007 and made her residence at Prestige assisted Living so she could be close to her two sisters and nieces and nephews. She has now gone "Home" to be with her family who preceded her. Services will be held at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2791 Inca Dr., L.H.C. at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012.
