The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, January 26, 2012 Jeff Kessel, 43, of Cottonwood, Arizona passed away January 19, 2012. Jeff was born February 5, 1968 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Paul an Sherri (Reyher) Kessel. Jeff was an accomplished musician and songwriter. His great love was his daughter, Brittany. Jeff was able to combine his love for both music and his daughter in many ways, having performed with Brittany and writing songs for and about her. Jeff graduated from Mohave Community College with an associate’s degree in liberal arts. He is survived by his daughter, Brittany; his parents, Paul and Sherri Kessel; his grand mothers, Phyllis Reyher and Ruth Kessel; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his work family at New Frontiers Natural Foods Market. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at the Verde Valley Senior Center (corner of 6th and Cherry Streets in Cottonwood). Donations are suggested to a memorial account at National Bank of Arizona in the name of Jeff Kessel or Sherri Kessel. Information provided by survivors.
