The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, January 26, 2012 Rebecca Shannon Whitworth, 38, of Camp Verde died on Jan. 13, 2012, at Flagstaff Medical due to a traumatic brain injury sustained in a motorcycle accident on Jan. 1. She is survived by two daughters: Ash Leah Brooke Drake (19) and Alexis Rae Dawn (5), 7 siblings: Dana Simmons, Cornville AZ, Ryanna Simmons, Perrysburg Ohio, Rueben Whitworth, Traverse City, MI, Josiah Grant, Interlocken, MI, Carrie Forward, Phoenix, AZ, Jessica Forward, Howell, MI, Jedidiah Spiers of Traverse City, MI.; Both parents: Linda Spiers & Henery Whitworth. Becky was the Treasurer for the VFW Riders 6739 of Camp Verde and a member of the Women’s Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Cornville Food Pantry and loved to camp, fish, and collect rocks. Her memorial-Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday Jan. 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Camp Verde VFW on Veterans Drive followed by a benefit at 2 p.m. Donations can be sent to Dana Simmons care of the Camp Verde VFW.
