Rose Dolores Pizzano, born Jan. 15, 1923, died at 2:25 p.m. Jan. 20, 2012, at the Hospice Family Care facility.
Her husband, Charles, predeceased her in 2006.
Rose was a court reporter in Dedham, Mass., and her niece, Marilyn Caponetti, typed up her steno notes.
Rose's special bond with Marilyn: Rose introduced her to Dr. James Caponetti, now her husband of many years.
Among her many volunteer services, Rose prepared tax returns, taught English to young Spanish women at our Prescott Valley Library, worked for YRMC at the Del E. Webb building as a receptionist, and taught scripture classes and lectured at her church.
Rose was a contributing member of the St. Vincent de Paul Conference in Prescott Valley. But her family will most remember Rose's remarkable faith in God, which helped her endure her five years of declining memory and poor health.
Joe and Jeanne heard her pray many times: "God's will be done."
Survivors are brother Joe Zambito; sisters Hope Fage of Florida and Jeanne Kochan; and numerous nieces and nephews and their children, who reside out of state.
Funeral rosary will be at 10 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Germaine's Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012.
