The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, January 25, 2012 Carol G. Steben, 67, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at her home in Bella Vista. She was born on Oct. 16, 1944, in Park Ridge, Ill. She taught school for a short time in Illinois and Georgia and then worked at Scott Forsman and Harper & Row Publishing in writing and editing children's books. She was co-owner of Stuart Printing of Monroe, Wis., and retired to Prescott, Ariz., where she enjoyed working with several writing groups. Health reasons required a move to a lower altitude, and then Bella Vista became home. She is survived by her husband, Bill; sisters Andrea Torgerson and Marlene Johnson; sister-in-law Evelyn Hentrich and her husband John; sister-in-law Irene Miller; nieces and nephews Erin, Sara, Kenny, Deanna (godchild), Denise, Donald, Glen, Scott, Debbie, Diane, Richard, Bill, Karen, Cindy, Ted, Kenny and Jim; and grand-nieces and -nephew Melissa, Kristen and Nathan. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
