MASON, Edward Joseph (Joe)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, January 24, 2012 Mr. Edward Joseph "Joe" Mason, Korean War Veteran, 79, died at Veterans Affairs Hospice Facility in Prescott, Ariz., on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012. Born Nov. 11, 1932, in Okemah, Okla., he lived in Campbell, Calif., Casa Grande, Ariz., and Phoenix, Ariz., before settling in Prescott, Ariz. He worked as an insurance claims adjuster for many years before owning Canyon State Adjusters with a partner. He retired to the Prescott area and continued claims adjusting part-time. Joe was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his son John Mason; son Jeff Mason and wife Susie; daughter Deanna Mason Nottingham and husband James; granddaughter Amber Behrens and husband Matt; and his six other grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Brad Mason in 1978 at the age of 17. Memorial services are 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at the VA Chapel, 500 Highway 89, Prescott, Ariz.
