The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, January 24, 2012 Donald R. Cook, 76, SSGT USMC retired, of Dewey, Ariz., born Jan. 29, 1935, in McKeesport, Pa., passed Jan. 19, 2012. Staff Sergeant Cook served his country with 20 years of active service in the Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Roberta Cook; a son, Donald Cook Jr.; daughter Dawn Cook Ziglari (Hussein); brothers Elden Cook, Dewayne Cook (Sylvia) and Robert Cook (Joan); sisters Marlene Cook Pasko (Clyde), Sandra Repenning and Eunice "Honey" Massie; stepson Stephen D. Charlton (Ana); stepdaughters Jill R. Charlton Cramm (Brian), Carrie M. Oliver (Don) and Shannon L. Purlee (Darrell); and nine grandchildren. Military services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, in the Prescott National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
