James (Jim) R. Whitaker, 87, of Dewey, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucille; daughters Patricia, Judy, Lauri (Clint) and Kathy (Charles); six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons (James and Thomas); daughters Mary and Nancy; and sister Marjorie Leonard. 

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Orchard Ranch RV Park in Dewey Ariz.
