Douglas "Bud" Bollbach, age 85, a 23-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his girls on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, in Bullhead City, Ariz.
Bud was born in Chicago, Ill. on July 22, 1926. His family moved to Hollywood, Calif. when he was a young boy. During World War II, at the age of 18, he enlisted into the Army and served for two years on the Pacific Front with the 86th Infantry Division.
In 1947, he returned to Hollywood and met the love of his life, Donna. The two were married on January 31, 1948, and had two girls, Kristina Allen and Linda Crone.
Bud worked hard all of his life and was a proud Teamster for 33 years.
When he retired in 1988, both he and Donna moved to Bullhead City where they had been vacationing for 20 years. He enjoyed spending summers at the lake and taking his loving wife on trips to various casinos where they met and made many life long friends.
Bud was loved by all who knew him, a great role
model and idolized by his girls. He took care of his family until the very end.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Donna, and his sister, Lorraine Juelke. Bud is survived by his two daughters, Kris and Linda of Bullhead City; two granddaughters, Tania (Ray) Matthews and Amy (Clint) Bowser; five great grandchildren, Andrea (Schuyler) Collins, Jason, Brandon, Ian and Colin; two great-great-grandsons, Damien and Rayven; and many nieces and nephews.
No services will be held per his request.
