West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, January 27, 2012 Joseph R. Hoffman, 86, of Goodyear died Jan. 23, 2012, in Peoria. Mr. Hoffman was born April 8, 1925, in St. Paul, Minn. He moved to Arizona in 2009. He worked as an industrial engineer for Donaldson Manufacturing Co., and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He is survived by two daughters, Shirley Guertin of Goodyear and Barbara Heimerl of Wasilla, Ark.; two sons, Joseph of Eagan, Minn., and Richard of Brimfield, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 10 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Road in Avondale.
