Due to the death of his uncle, Lincoln Hayes left for his home in North Carolina Tuesday morning. Lincoln has attended the local grammar school for the past three years. Members of the seventh and eighth grades went to the train to see him off and presented him with many gifts of remembrance.

Lincoln E 'Joe' Hayes, age 76, of 1708 23rd St., Niceville, Fla., passed away Friday, June 7, 1991, at Eglin Regional Hospital, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
Mr Hayes was a native of Luray, Va., and had resided in Okaloosa County, Fla., most of his life. He was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from civil service from Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. He had a life membership with the Niceville D.A.V., and a life membership with the Niceville Amvets.
Mr Hayes was preceded in death by his wife, Rae Hayes, who was a native of England. He is survived by a host of good friends and neighbors who will miss him greatly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10am Tuesday, June 11, in McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home Chapel, Niceville, with a military chaplain officiating. Niceville D.A.V. members will assist.
Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Valparaiso, Fla., with full military honors.
