Gordon Jacob Edinger passed away June 1, 2007 at Plymouth Village in Redlands, CA.
Mr. Edinger was born Sept. 14, 1915 in Cathay, ND.
Gordon was the owner and chef for Edinger Trails Restaurant in Sacramento, CA for 20 years. Gordon served in the US Army as a 1st SGT during WWII. Mr. Edinger was involved with many clubs including President of the Optimist Club in Sacramento, ABHOW-Manager of Food Services-Oakland, CA, Redlands VFW, Seniors of Distinction for the City of Redlands, and MMAP (RV club based in Redlands, CA), as well as a member of the First Baptist Church of Redlands.
Mr. Edinger is preceded in death by a son Gordon J. Edinger, Jr. Survived by his wife Celia M. Edinger of Redlands, CA, daughter Joyce Edinger of San Diego, CA, granddaughter Cynthia Edinger of Watsonville, CA, daughter in law Julie Kelly of Sacramento, CA, grandson John Edinger Behringer of Sacramento, CA, sister and brother in law Opal and Clem Ruff of Roseville, CA sister in laws Alice Edinger of Camarillo, CA, Ruth Walth of Cathay, ND, CeCelia Edinger of South San Francisco, CA.
Visitation Friday, June 8, 2007 Cortner Chapel in Redlands, CA. Memorial service, Saturday June 9, 2007, at Plymouth Village Dinning Hall in Redlands, CA. Graveside service Tuesday, June 12 at Riverside National Cemetery staging area #2. Services entrusted to the care of Cortner Chapel, Redlands, CA.
