OWENS, Juanita A.


Juanita A. Owens, 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona went home to be with the Lord on May 30th, 2007 with her family at her bedside. Juanita was born in Des Moines, Iowa on November 22, 1916. She served in the Army Nurse Corp as a Second Lieutenant during WWII. After the service she moved to California and worked as a Registered Nurse for 30 years, including, Supervising the OBGYN Department of Bellflower General Hospital. Juanita had the pleasure of seeing many beautiful babies come into our world on a daily basis and will always be remembered for her gifts of compassion and generosity. She retired in 1975 and moved to Arizona to be near her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow W. Owens Sr. and a daughter Barbara Jane Taylor. Juanita is survived by her two sons, Woody and wife Shirley, Tom and wife Lynn. She is also survived by her grandsons Jason, David, Jonathan and Cory, her granddaughters, Lisa, Amanda, Charity, Wendy, Kierstin and Kelly, and three great grand children, Jayden, Nevaeh, and Justice.
