She is survived by her mother Lydia Navaarro, brother Kendal Mays, half-brother Tony Foster, Grandmothers Nellie Navarro and Gloria Foster, uncles, aunts, numerous cousins, god-daughter and friends. Vanessa lived in Tolleson all her life and graduated from Tolleson High School in 2001. She was active in the MEchA Club and the Blessed Sacrament Youth Group. There was a special brother and sister bond between Kendal and Vanessa. She was very protective of her little brother, but he often became her protector. She would call him on the phone "...just to say I love you" which was their song to each other. No matter what, Vanessa and Kendal loved each other unconditionally. She loved to dance, sing and listen to music. She was always ready for a party with her family and friends. Vanessa enjoyed hanging out and caring for her younger cousins and god-daughter. She loved to hear their stories and laughter. Vanessa often took it upon herself to "adopt" random dogs and bring them home. She loved animals and always wanted them to feel loved. Net, as she was known to her family, had a unique personality that was both stubborn and fun loving. She made everyone laugh with her distinctive humor and attitude. Vanessa was so loved and we look forward to the time when we will dance together again. We love you Net and we know that you will be ‘Just Fine'.
