Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, February 2, 2012 - Marvin Aaron Goldberg, 77, passed away Jan. 21, 2012 in Lake Havasu City. He was born on Aug. 1, 1934, in Bronx, N.Y., to Jack and Miriam (Flasterstein) Goldberg. Marvin served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years and was honorably discharged as an Airman. After serving in the Navy, Marvin began a career in jewelry that lasted his entire life, establishing Wimbledon Goldsmiths in 1988 in Lake Havasu City, to the present. He married his beloved wife, Beverly, in Reno, Nev., in 1971. They moved to Lake Havasu City 24 years ago, coming from California. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, enjoying his family, playing cards with friends, and was an avid movie and TV buff. Marvin lived life on his own terms, with a steadfast demeanor; he showed confidence, dignity and respect to all who have been lucky enough to know him. For those who knew him, life can never be the same. He will be dearly missed by all. Marvin is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly; daughter, Lisa D. Goldberg Hewus; son in law, Wayne Hewus; son, Nate J.; grandchildren, Taylor Hewus, Lauren Hewus, Jordan Hewus, Natale Goldberg and Jayde Goldberg; brother, Ronald; sister, Sheila; cousins, Alexis and Bert Rabenn, Jason (Becca) Rabenn, Jessica (Jeff) Roberts and Gregg Simon; many close friends and associates. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miriam and Jack Goldberg; Kathryn and Harry Goldberg; Stanley Simon; and Linda Harrison. Service to be announced.
