West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, February 03, 2012 Steve Glenz, 59, died Jan. 29, 2012, at his home in Goodyear. Mr. Glenz was born May 24, 1952, in Rochester, N.Y., to Edward and Mary. He attended East High School in Rochester and then joined the Army Reserves in 1971. He was called to active duty in 1972, attaining the rank of sergeant first class. He then went to work in civil service, retiring as a supervisor of staff administration for the federal government. He is survived by his wife, Xiu Cui; one stepson, Kevin; his mother, Mary; and one brother, Art. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Christ Presbyterian Church in Goodyear. Burial will take place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Memorials can be sent to Hospice of the Valley at www.hov.org.
