West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, February 03, 2012 Julian M. Ybarra, 83, of Buckeye died Jan. 30, 2012, in Avondale from Alzheimer's disease. Mr. Ybarra was born Sept. 5, 1928, in Globe. He served in the Army Military Police Corps. He owned and operated the bar Joe's Place, later known as the Boondocks, in Wintersburg for more than 30 years. After selling the bar, he owned and operated Valencia Quik Stop in Buckeye until he retired. He is survived by two daughters, Mary of Gallup, N.M., and Linda Herring of Buckeye; three sons, Anthony of Gila Bend and Robert and Jeff of Buckeye; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Ganley's Funeral Home, 104 Baseline Road in Buckeye.
