Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Saturday, February 4, 2012 - Mary Frances O’Brien passed away peacefully Feb. 1, 2012 in Lake Havasu City with her best friend Betty at her side. She is now at peace along with her beloved husband, Thomas Raymond O’Brien, who passed away on April 28, 1992. Mary was born on March 10, 1928, in Jamaica, N.Y., to Andrew and Mary (Kelly) Kenney. Prior to moving to Lake Havasu City in 1975, Mary and her family lived in Commack, N.Y., where she worked as a telephone operator. Once settled in Lake Havasu City, she went to work for the Ramada Inn and most recently worked for the city as a court clerk. She was employed by Lake Havasu City for 25 years. Mary is survived by her sons, Thomas Andrew O’Brien and his girlfriend, Michele, and Dennis Michael O’Brien, all of Lake Havasu City; nephews, Tom and Tim Smith and Jimmy, Sean and Andrew Kilkinney, Robert O'Brien; nieces, Kelly Kilkinney, Judi and Janey Smith and Kathy Lynn-O'Brien; brothers-in-law, Tim Smith and Jimmie Kilkinney; sister-in-law, Kathy O’Brien and her devoted dog, Daisy. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Kilkinney and Jane Smith. Mary will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Visitation will be today, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Rosary will be said this evening at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be Sunday, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze. Funeral Mass will be Feb. 6, at noon at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church with Father Chauncey Winkler offering words of comfort. Interment will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the O’Brien family request donations in Mary’s name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Ave., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404 or Meals on Wheels, 450 S.
