Rosary for Mrs. Maria E. Torres, 84, who died Monday in Good Samaritan Hospital, will be recited at 8pm today in Whitney and Murphy Chapel, 330 N Second Ave.  Mass will be said at 10:30am tomorrow in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 919 S 16th Place.  Burial will be in St Francis Cemetery.

Mrs Torres, 1637 E Lincoln, a native of Mexico, moved to Texas in 1909 and to Phoenix 56 years ago.  Survivors include two sons, Louis of La Puente, Ca., and Rosendo of Montebello, Ca.; 6 daughters, Mrs. Magdelena Espindola, Mrs. Cruz T Cruz, Mrs. Connie Chaves and Mrs. Victoria Blanco, all of Phoenix, Mrs Lucia Corrales of San Jose, Ca., and Mrs. Reyes Fresques of Los Angeles; 3 sisters out of state; 40 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
