Hansen Mortuary, Phoenix, Arizona Nita B. Wayment Brown February 27, 1933 ~ February 1, 2012 Nita B. Wayment Brown of Phoenix, Arizona passed away February 1, 2012; less than a month shy of her 79th birthday. The eldest of three siblings, she was born in Marriott, Utah on February 27, 1933. Nita loved music and shared her talents on the piano and organ while growing up in Ogden, Utah; and for four decades as a church organist in her local LDS congregation. She sang alto with The Sisters Three group that performed throughout the Valley in the 60s and, most recently, with Double-Trio Harmony. Survivors include her brother, Lee Wayment of Ogden, Utah; daughters Roni Kay Voss of Tempe and CindiLee Turpin-Thomas of Woodbridge, Virginia; granddaughters Lee Ann Henslee, Jamie Lynn Henslee and Lindsay Michelle Chavez; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Sunday February 5, 2012 at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. 7th Street. Funeral service will be on Monday at 11 am at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W. Beardsley Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
