Roy L. Smith, 74, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., born Jan. 26, 1938, in Endeavor, Wis., passed away Feb. 2, 2012.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Feb. 8, 2012, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7885 E. Longlook Drive, Prescott Valley, Ariz. Burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Park.

Roy Lee Smith, 74, passed away Feb. 2, 2012, at his home in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Roy was born in Endeavor, Wis., on Jan. 26, 1938.
Roy was a resident of Arizona for more than 50 years and lived in Prescott Valley for the past 12 years with his beloved sweetheart and wife, Nancy. He was in the commercial sign business for much of his life and started his business, SmithCraft, in the 1970s, which grew to the largest sign manufacturing company in Arizona and is still thriving today. Roy proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and retained his love for the Air Force and all types of aircraft throughout his life.
Roy is survived by his wife, Nancy; her son and daughter, Tom Deiter and Lisa Lanning; grandchildren Britney Johnson and her husband Justin, Courtney and Dillon Lanning and Joshua Deiter of Phoenix; and sister Nancy James and her husband Curtis of Cottonwood, Ariz.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7885 East Long Look Drive in Prescott Valley.
