John F. McMahon Dies Here
John F. McMahon, 80, died at the Pioneer Home Tuesday after an illness. He was born on July 12, 1894 in Mattoon, Ill., and moved to Arizona in 1917.
He was a carpenter contractor for many years and was also a mail carrier in Ajo for seven years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No.1593 in Ajo.
Survivors include his widow, Eve; one son, William, of Colorado; five daughters, Judy Smith, and Gertrude McMahon, of Colorado; Patricia Zeaman and Mrs. Frankie Gillen, both of Phoenix, and Frances Liese, of Washington state, two stepsons; one stepdaughter; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Mountain View Crematory on Friday at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Moose Scholarship Fund in Ajo, Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
