Magdalena Ayala Nolasco, 78, of Chandler and formerly of Litchfield Park, died Oct. 17, 2010, in Scottsdale.
Mrs. Nolasco was born July 22, 1932, in Phoenix.
She is survived by three daughters, Connie Olivares, Jeannette Normandin and Magdalena "Molly" Gibney; one son, Alex; one brother, Santiago Ayala; one sister, Armida Vega; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Faith Community in Chandler. Burial was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014, on behalf of the Mimosa Springs Care Center; or to the Alzheimer's Association, 1028 E. McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85006.

Magdalena Ayala Nolasco, 78, passed away peacefully Oct. 17, 2010 in Scottsdale, Ariz. She was born July 22, 1932 in Phoenix, Ariz.
Preceded in passing was her husband Eloy Marquez Nolasco. She is survived by her children: Connie (Eddie) Olivares, Jeannette (Timothy) Normandin, Magdalena (David) Gibney, and Alex (Maria) Nolasco; 13 grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren; brother Santiago Ayala and sister Armida Vega.
Magdalena lived in Willcox for many years and was employed by Northern Cochise Community Hospital as a dietitian. She moved to the Mesa, Chandler area where she lived for many years. She was employed as a dietitian for the Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. She returned to Willcox and lived five more years during her illness. She was a Parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, where she had many friends who loved her. She lived in Scottsdale, Ariz. for the last few months of her life.
Visitation, Rosary and Catholic Mass were at St. Andrew The Apostle Catholic Faith Community in Chandler, Ariz. where she was a Parishioner for many years and was laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Mesa. In lieu of flowers, her children suggest donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 1028 E McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85006.
Arrangements were entrusted to Queen of Heaven Mortuary, Chandler, Ariz."
