Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, August 11, 1974 Arthur Peterson Died Tuesday Arthur D. Peterson, 71, died at Yavapai Community Hospital Tuesday after a lingering illness. He was born on March 25, 1903 in Oregon and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He moved to Arizona 45 years ago from California and lived in Prescott at 1921 Demerse Ave. for the past 34 years. He had helped build the original Prescott High School and had worked at the Prescott Pioneer Home and Sunset Hills Restaurant for many years Survivors include his widow, Ora Lee Peterson, of Chino Valley; two sons, Carroll Brown and Charles W. Brown, both of Chino Valley; three daughters, Mrs. Jettie Evans, and Mrs. Mildred Short, both of Chino Valley; and Mrs. Oneta Burrell, of Cottonwood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at Memory Chapel at 10 a.m. on Saturday with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be at Memory Chapel on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.
