Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, July 24, 1974 Edward Cosgrove Edward R. Cosgrove, 78, died Tuesday. He had been a department store executive and a real estate broker. He moved to Phoenix in 1936 and to Prescott in 1957. He made his home at the St. Michael Hotel. He was a veteran of World War 1, having served with the U.S. Army in France. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Knights of Columbus, an honorary life member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the original building committee of St. Gregory's Church in Phoenix, past president of the Holy Name Society of Phoenix, and one of the founders of the Senior Citizens Club of Prescott. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James Griffin, of Marina Del Ray, Calif.; one brother Joseph, of St. Louis, Mo.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 5:30 p.m., at Ruffner's Funeral Home. Mass will be said at St. Gregory's Church in Phoenix 9 a.m. Saturday, with private entombment following at St. Francis Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to St. Vincent De Paul Dining Room 119 S. Ninth St., Phoenix. Friends may call at Ruffner's Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m.
