Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, August 28, 1974 James Lutz rites Friday James Lawrence Lutz, 77, died Monday at Memorial Hospital in Phoenix. He was born on April 24, 1897 in Williamsport, Ind. and moved to Arizona 26 years ago from Philadelphia. He lived in Prescott for the past 12 years. He had worked as a marine engineer for Independent Pier Company for 28 years and also at Campbell Soup Company and as a fireman for Delaware Dredge Company for two years, and a Navajo Supply Company near Flagstaff from 1950 until 1962. He was a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge No. 3, F, & A.M. in Philadelphia. Survivors include on daughter, Mrs. Betty Craven, of Prescott; one brother, Charles Lutz, of Amarillo, Tex; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Memory chapel on Friday at 3 p.m. with private cremation to follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society. Visitation is at Memory Chapel Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.
