The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, October 17, 1974 Bertha Garrett Dies at 94 Bertha C. Garrett, 94, died at Yavapai Community Hospital Wednesday. She was born on Dec. 14, 1879 in Cable, Ill. and came to Prescott from Rock Island, Ill. 3 ½ years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge in Matherville, Ill. Survivors include on son, Clyde Garrett, of Prescott. Visitation will be today at Memory Chapel from 4 to 6 p.m. The remains will be sent to the Knox-Larson Funeral Home in Rock Island, Ill. where visitation will be held Sunday afternoon and services Monday with burial to follow in the family plot in the Matherville Cemetery.
