The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Monday, March 8, 1943 Former Prescott Postmaster Dies. Prescott, May 7 - Warren Francis Day, a son of pioneer Prescott physician and postmaster here from 1922 to 1931, died at his home today after suffering a heart attack. He was 60 years old. Born in San Francisco, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Warren E. Day, he was brought to Prescott in infancy. His father, a surgeon in the Civil War, came to Fort Whipple with Gen. George Crook and later established a private medical practice here Day entered the postal service in 1902 and continued until the expiration of his latest term in 1931 later he worked as an accountant. Mrs. Day, the former Harriet Cope survives. There are five sisters, Miss Mary E. Day, Mrs. John Beach and Mrs. Bliss Travis of Prescott; Mrs. Frank Poley, Jerome and Mrs. Alice Gillis, Los Angeles.
