The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Wednesday, July 30, 2003 James E. Henderson Sr., died July 26, 2003 with wife, of 56 years by his side. Military graveside rites will be conducted on Friday August 1, 2003 at 10:00AM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Jim was a World War II Veteran and served in the Army from 1941-1945. He was stationed in Bristol England from 1942-1945, as an Administrative Master Sergeant in the general depot headquarters - 502. Jim was born Aug. 24, 1918 in Orleans, IN. He graduated from Lawrence High School m 1936. He attended the Indianapolis Electronics University where he received a Class II Electronics license. On March 26, 1946 he married Jean Louise Coshow in Jefferson, IN., they had two sons. He went to work for Sharper & Gamer, Clarks Appliances in Indianapolis, IN, and later for the Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. Jim was a simple, hard-working man, who was a devoted husband and caring father. He took great pride in his wife & son's services to our country (via the Navy & Air Force) and enjoyed their accomplishments. Jim never met a stranger! Jim's Family was precious to him. It was very important for he & his wife to live close to Sons, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. We will miss him greatly! He is now at peace and safe in God's hands. Until we meet again Dad, We Love You! Jim is survived by his wife Jean Louise Coshow Henderson, two sons, James Edward Henderson Jr. Joseph Dean Henderson, daughter- in-law Jean Colleen Rapp Henderson, Grandchildren Joseph Michael Henderson & Tricia Susan Henderson, Christopher George Henderson & Blake Thomas Henderson, Great-Grand Children Isaac Benito Maes, Jamison Arthur, Alexandria Colleen, & Gabriel Thomas Henderson, and One Sister Virginia Mae Kimberlin.
