HILL, Beatrice

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Friday, February 10, 2012 Beatrice Hill, 88, of Buckeye died Feb. 2, 2012, in Buckeye. Mrs. Hill was born June 6, 1923, in Perryville, Alaska. She moved to Arizona in 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Buckeye. She was also a "Rosie the Riveter" and worked in the shipyards in Oakland, Calif., during World War II. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, J.B. She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Popoff; one sister, Sandra Hallmark of Oscala, Fla.; one brother, Bill Paul of Perryville, Alaska; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at First Southern Baptist Church, 405 N. Third St. in Buckeye. The Rev. Artie Woodcox will officiate.
