Edith L. Ybarra, 70, of Buckeye died Feb. 8, 2012, from cancer-related complications in Goodyear.
Ms. Ybarra was born Nov. 26, 1941, in Killen, Ala.
She co-owned and operated Joe's Place bar, later known as the Boondocks, for more than 30 years. After selling the bar, she co-owned and operated Valencia Quik Stop in Buckeye until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Julian, who died Jan. 30, 2012.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary of Gallup, N.M., and Linda Herring; three sons, Anthony of Gila Bend, Robert and Jeff; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at Ganley's Funeral Home Chapel, 104 E. Baseline Road in Buckeye.
