Robert Everett Walters, 86, of Litchfield Park died Oct. 12, 2010, in Litchfield Park.
Mr. Walters, sometimes known as "Mr. Bob," was born April 27, 1924, in Urbana, Ohio, to Wilmer and Irene Walters. He served in the Army during World War II as a weapons instructor.
He later worked 34 years as a purchasing agent and an industrial equipment sales representative for companies in Springfield, Ohio, where he also served as a board member of the First Baptist Church.
Mr. Walters retired in 1986, and moved to Gatlinburg, Tenn., where he served as a Kiwanis Club president. He also was a 63-year member of the Masonic Order in Ohio and received a distinguished service award from that group in 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Doug, of Waterloo, Iowa; one daughter, Robin Walters Morris of Glendale; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear.
