BRADLEY, Dee F.


Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Wednesday, February 15, 2012 - Dee F. Bradley, 76, of Olathe, Kan. passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at his home. Dee was born in 1935 in Pleasanton, Kan. to Frank and Sadie Bradley. He was a 1953 graduate of Pleasanton High School where he was a 1953 All State basketball player and president of his class. He attended Fort Scott Jr. College from 1954-1955. Dee was employed by Household Finance from 1955-1960. He married Eddie Neese in 1958. He attended Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis. in 1964. Dee was employed by Johnson County Bank from 1960-1970. He was President of 1st National Bank of Olathe from 1970-1973, then purchased Olathe Ford that year. He went on to be a Director for 1st National Bank of Olathe, President of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce in 1971, Director of Kansas City Ford Dealers, Ford Advertising Foundation and Mid-America Nazarene College. He was a member of Ararat Shriners in Kansas City, Grace United Methodist Church and the Olathe Medical Center hospital boards. He was also a member of Shadow Glen Golf Course in Olathe and London Bridge Golf course in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Dee and Eddie resided in Lake Havasu City during the winter months for the past 20 years where they enjoyed the warmer climate, where he was well known for driving his 1957 Chevy around Lake Havasu City and enjoyed golfing. He leaves Eddie, his wife, of 53 years; daughter, DeNeese (Steve) Barclay; son, Mike (Jennifer) Bradley; grandchildren, Ryan and Blake Bradley, Dana and Brad Barclay; and sister, Dixie (Ken) Wilkerson. The family received friends on Tuesday, February 14, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel. A private graveside will be held for family Wednesday.
