ALEXANDER, Verna Helen

Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from February 12 to February 19, 2012 - Verna Helen Alexander, age 85, a 20-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, in Henderson, Nev. She was born August 6, 1926, in Buffalo, S.D. Verna worked for the telephone company for 25 years. She was married to Allen Alexander for 62 years, and together they raised three children. Verna was a member of the Colorado River Quilters, and the local Red Hats. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Alexander (Samuel Leffel) of Cornville, Ariz.; two sons, Douglas (Cynthia) Alexander of Agoura Hills, Calif. and Thomas Alexander of Los Angeles, Calif.; and granddaughter, Lisa (Brandon) Weeks of Newbury Park, Calif. A celebration of her life will be held in March.
