Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from February 12 to February 19, 2012 - Judith Mae "Judi" McAlister McDougall, age 60, a 20-year off-and-on resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away on Saturday evening, January 28, 2012, at home with her husband, Guy, best friend, Michelle, and other family members by her side. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 throat cancer, and Stage 4 lung cancer, and passed from this life just two days after coming home from the hospital with hospice support. She was born January 14, 1952, in San Gabriel, Calif., to Ethlyn Clark McAlister and James Wesley McAlister. Judi said July 28, 1990, was the best day of her life -- she married the love of her life, Everett Guy McDougall. They spent the last 21 years side- by-side, always being there through all of life's ups and downs. They were each other's rock. Judi was such an inspiration to us all, and she lived her life to the fullest the best she could. Even in her final days, she kept fighting to the very end. Judi was the best friend anyone could ask for in life. She was a wonderful person, who will never be forgotten. She will always be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethlyn McAlister, and father-in-law, William Everett McDougall. Judi is survived by her husband of 21 years, Guy; daughter, Nicole Simmons (her Little Boo); two brothers, Doug and Jimmy McAlister of Bullhead City; mother-in-law, Beulah; best friend, Michelle Simmons (who she loved like a daughter); and numerous other brothers, nephews, nieces and sisters-in-law, who will all miss her very much! There will be no services at this time. Judi donated her body so that she could give others the gift of having a better life. The family would like to thank New Hope Hospice for all their care and support during this most difficult time and to all friends and co-workers of Guy, who have offered their support and prayers - we thank you very much.
