The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/17/2012 Fern May Lamb Bickford, 90, died Feb. 14, 2012, in Eagar. She was born May 24, 1921, in Twin Falls, Idaho the daughter of Elliott Lamb and Phoebe Wahl Lamb. Fern was a homemaker and was loved dearly by family and friends. She was a great supporter of 4-H and Girl Scouts. She loved to travel and be in the mountains. She loved wildlife and eating fresh trout and peach pie. Fern is survived by her son Blaine (LuAnn) Bickford of Springerville; and two grandchildren: Tristanna Bickford of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Travis Bickford of Phoenix. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph W. Bickford (Aug. 1987); stepson Donnie Bickford; four brothers: Bruce Lamb, Archie Lamb, Ralph Lamb, and Beryl Lamb; and sister Bernice Lamb Schurtz. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Feb. 17, at Burnham Mortuary in Eagar with visitation one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will follow the service at the Springerville Cemetery.
