The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/17/2012 Jerold William Judd, 72, died Feb. 14, 2012, in Safford. He was born Dec. 7, 1939, in Kanab, Utah to Orval Judd and Sarah Jackson Judd. Jerold was a retired school administrator where he worked in various school districts in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His achievements included helping in the formation of the Diné College on the Navajo Reservation. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the South West Indian Mission. Jerold was called to open the Northern Indian Mission. He spoke fluent Navajo. He is survived by son Ryan Judd of Sherwood, Ore.; daughters: Tonya Dutton of Eagar, Sasha Wiltbank of Safford, Allison Jackson of Ferron, Utah, and Lexi Judd of Orem, Utah; brothers: Derral Judd and Steve Judd; sister DeWana Butler; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by William Wiltbank. A viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Burnham Mortuary, Eagar. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Amity Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on School Bus Road in Eagar.
