HAMILTON, Bert

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, February 16, 2012 Bert Hamilton, 66, passed away Feb. 11, 2012 at his home outside of Chino Valley, Ariz. He was born Jan. 26, 1946, in The Dalles, Ore. He grew up and went to school in Wheeler County. When he was old enough to be accepted, he enlisted in the Navy Seabees, serving over seas in Okinawa, Japan and Vietnam. He spent his life working in the timber and heavy construction industries. Bert had a great love of people and had never met a stranger. His family and the many people in his life were the most important thing to him. Rodeo was a big part of his life and, with this in mind, in lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at National Bank of Arizona in his name for donations to the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund, which helps injured cowboys. A Celebration of Life will be noon on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Bert's Truck Shop, 21055 Old Highway 89, Paulden, Ariz. Stop by and share your favorite Bert story. Chino Valley Funeral Home is caring for the family. Information provided by survivors.
