Claybon Wallis, 87, of Casa Grande, Ariz., died on Feb. 12, 2012, at Sun Valley Care Home.
A scripture service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel, with Deacon Pat Dugan officiating.
Mr. Wallis was born on June 15, 1924, in Dallas, Texas, and was the son of Claybon M. and Murler Wallis. He was a clerk for the U.S. Veterans Administration. He played violin for many years and collected and restored antique radios and phonographs. He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, hunting and travel.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jolene; two sons, Mark Wallis of Houston and Steve Wallis of Casa Grande; a daughter, Cynthia Wallis of Wisconsin; three sisters, Pat Zimmerman of Paulden, Grace Templeton of Sun Lakes and Flora Black of Prescott; and two grandchildren.
