HOUSE, Josephine

Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from February 17 to February 24, 2012 - Josephine House, age 90, a 41-year resident of the Bullhead City, Ariz. area, died on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at home with her loving friends caring for her. Jo‚ was born January 5, 1922 in Lehigh, Okla. In 1971, Jo moved to Bullhead City from the Las Vegas, Nev. area, to help start a local congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. For 41 years, Jo has faithfully been preaching in the Bullhead City area. She was a spiritual mother and grandmother to so many at the Hall. Even though she was 90, she still engaged in the ministry and was seen all over town driving herself in her little red truck. Jo often talked about how her young daughter was in our loving Father's memory. We know Jo is there now and He will remember her loyalty to Him and the loving kindness she showed towards her family and her spiritual family. She looked forward to seeing her daughter again as we look forward to seeing them reunited in Paradise. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Lee House and husband, Junior Leslie House. Jo is survived by her daughter, Marie Mejia of Needles, Calif.; four grandsons, Jason (Dawn) House of Las Vegas, Nev., Jerrod (Lilly) Blay of Needles, Calif., Justin (Katie) Parker of Bullhead City, Ariz., and J.C. (Paula) Parker of Oceanside, Calif.; and six great-grandchildren. A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1645 Gardner Road, Fort Mohave, Arizona. Arrangements are under the care of Desert Lawn Funeral Home.
